Machine Operators in King's Lynn

I am looking for a team of people to work on an on-going basis.

Hours of Work:
Two weeks rotation:

Week 1

Monday to Wednesday 0700-1900 and Thursday 0700-1500. Pay rate on day £11 per hour

Week 2

Monday to Wednesday 1900-0700 Pay rate on nights £13.58 per hour

Shifts will be alternated and you will be required to work days (07.00 - 19.00) and nights (19.00 - 07.00). Flexibility is essential, therefore you must be able to work the day shifts and the night shifts.


The role of a Production Operator is to operate, control and monitor machinery within a specified area; to optimise efficiency, product quality and safety and maintain a professional, clean manufacturing environment.Without the hard work of our production team our product would never be able to reach the market, so the production operator role is crucial to the business!


  • Ownership of your own safety and the safety of those around you.

  • Carrying out CCP checks, along with regular quality checks to ensure we are producing first class products.

  • Responsible for ensuring efficient running of equipment from their area to maintain a constant flow of product to the next area.

  • Carry out appropriate running adjustments to machinery in order to ensure optimum capability and efficiency as well as minimise waste.  If outside of scope of knowledge, use the shift escalation process to the Lead Operator to resolve the issue.

  • Capable of carrying out minor adjustments to operational running.

  • Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective shift handovers are carried out.

  • Challenge the norm to identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in production, cost or time. Support in using FMOS tools in problem solving these issues through to completion.

  • Contribute, support and improve team performance by working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and best practices.

  • Ownership of high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your area.

  • Communicate and / or escalate issues / non-standard running conditions / non-conformity to other associates on days or shift support team as required.

  • Ensure FMOS processes are followed and used effectively, along with Process Confirmation and other Lean/CI tools (5S)


  • GCSE level in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent.

  • Good team player with flexible approach, and communication skills

  • Preferably proven experience in a fast paced production environment

  • Previous experience or training in mechanical systems, operation and fault finding would be desirable but training will be available
