Adecco are proud to be working with a manufacturing company who are expanding their production team, see below:


Job Title: Production Operative


Location: Ashford, Kent


Salary: up to £22,000


Hours: Monday to Friday (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:



  • Complete balance checks during production runs.

  • Pick, check and preparing materials ready for production.

  • Set up and operate packing line (lidding, sealing, labelling pots)

  • Check and inspect products that are being packaged.

  • Carry out in-process checks in every 30 minutes during production.

  • Consult with the Technical team when you find any quality issues.

  • Strictly follow the Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) standards.

  • Keep your work environment clean, tidy and safe (cleaning, washing up, mopping)

  • Weigh and blend ingredients as per production job sheet.

  • Quality and quantity checking products.

  • Prepare materials before machine set up for optimised production efficiency.

  • Monitor machine performance for defects or malfunctions and report any issues to shift leader.

  • Weighed, packed and accurately labelled boxes containing products.

  • Clean the working area before production and use a swabbing stick to check for any contamination.

  • Set up the machine for production and ensure correct bath number and expiry date.

  • Set up the product packaging.

  • Check packaged product every 30 minutes during packaging for leakage using special air compression tank.

  • After the job is completed complete paperwork to document amount used and wasted.

  • Return any unused materials to the warehouse.

  • Any other reasonable duties


Experience and skills required for this position:



  • Experience in a food, beauty, pharmaceutical or manufacturing company

  • General understanding of relevant production processes

  • General understanding of manufacturing practices

  • Thorough understanding of production documentation
