Adecco are delighted to represent their client in a search for a Maintenance Engineer with Mechanical bias for a permanent hire. Some mechanical duties will be expected.

Duties Include

Maintaining equipment to optimum standards to minimise downtime and maximise equipment efficiency through reactive and proactive approaches, prioritising workloads effectively

  • Maintenance Skill, machine installation and layouts.

  • Ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices

  • Good Level of understand towards preventative maintenance (TPM) systems and installing systems into business structures.

  • Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM)

  • Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required

  • carry out reactive repairs.

  • Stripping and rebuilding machinery

  • Fault finding

  • Design of simple machinery, eg: deburr, robot grippers and pick place

  • Repairing machinery and presses

  • Control of contractors

  • Day shift role but flexibility of working shift pattern to cover if required. (Hols/Sickness)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Mechanical based apprenticeship with City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications

  • Experience working with both PLC and Fanuc control systems would be desirable

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic

  • Knowledge of SAP (desirable)
