Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance cover for all current manufacturing processes and related auxiliary equipment. Along with Additional responsibilities for the maintenance and upkeep of all company facilities ensuring all Health and Safety and building regulations are adhered to, a solid understanding of electrical and PLC fault finding is key to the success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

To provide electrical and mechanical breakdown cover for all activities carried out on site

PM tasks to all equipment and facilities to ensure they remain functional and to standard, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.

Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan for a speedy and long-lasting resolution to the problem.

You will rely on your ability to multi-task as you work in a fast-paced environment to keep our company operational.

Use computerised maintenance system to retrieve and enter information.

Assist in developing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment. Maintain records, update drawings, and develop safety procedures.

Responsible for general building maintenance and upkeep

Observe safe work practices and ensure work does not endanger others.

Monitor energy usage, advise on, and implement efficiency improvements

Provide support and supervision, as necessary, for contractors working on premises ensuring all relevant method statements, risk assessments and permits to works are issued

To support, and participate in, continuous improvement activities as required within all areas of the business

Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work.

Assist in achievement of company and departmental goals and KPIs

Perform other duties as required.


Apprentice trained with electrical bias and strong mechanical knowledge.

ONC or equivalent in electrical disciplines

18th Edition wiring regulations


Experience in maintaining automated assembly equipment

Excellent knowledge of PLC fault finding and problem solving

Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics

Knowledge of electrical installation to 415V
