An excellent opportunity to work for a well-established and successful company has arisen for a full time or part time Maintenance Engineer.

The Role:

  • General plant preventative maintenance.

  • Plant includes small power presses, small CNC routers, Co2 lasers and printing equipment.

  • Respond to equipment faults and diagnose breakdown problems.

  • Working with single and three phase systems.

  • General facilities maintenance.

  • Ensuring that maintenance and service schedules are completed on time and to the relevant safety standards.

Essential requirements:

  • Must be multi skilled and have a strong background in electro and mechanical engineering.

  • Previous experience of working as a maintenance engineer.

  • Good knowledge of health and safety in manufacturing engineering workshops

  • Competent in the use of basic toolroom equipment, such as centre lathes and surface grinders.

  • Computer literacy.

  • HNC/ONC/NVQ or city & guilds qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Desirable requirements:

  • 18th Edition Certificate or equivalent will consider 17th Edition.

  • Fork Truck Driver Certificate.

  • Basic welding skill (Mig and Stick).

Full time working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm and half hour for lunch. Part time hours will be considered at 30-32 hours - open to discussion.
