Our nationwide client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to add to Ipswich team. The successful candidate will have previous Management experience, ideally within the Leisure industry and have the skills and experience to bring the best out of its team.



What are we looking for?



  • Someone to ensure all Machines are maintained to the highest possible standards in order to ensure excellent customer service.

  • To supervise and direct the team of Technicians on site.



Duties and Responsibilities would include -



  • To maintain and repair machines, approach areas and other ancillary equipment to the required company standard.




  • To answer all fault notification calls whilst on duty in a quick and efficient manner. To liaise with staff and customers with regards to faults and lane conditions to ensure a high standard of customer service.




  • To ensure that all equipment, workshops and tools are kept clean and well maintained.




  • To carry out general maintenance and basic repairs throughout the centre.




  • To comply with COSHH regulations with regards to storing and using hazardous substances such as cleaners and conditioners.




  • To be fully aware of and comply with fire regulations. To ensure that no fire exits are obstructed.




  • To maintain an accurate stock inventory. To be responsible for ordering machinery and parts with your Regional Technician.




  • To ensure that all stocks, keys, equipment and chemicals are kept secure at all times.




  • To carry out training schedules for new members of staff. To motivate and lead staff and handle basic staff issues.




  • To adhere to the weekly and daily task rotas and comply with all Health and Safety requirements.




  • To attend all training sessions relevant to the role.


  • To complete any other task as reasonably requested by a manager or supervisor.



Essential Requirements



  • Experience of machinery preferred but not essential as full training will be given

  • Ability to supervise a small team

  • Ability to communicate at all levels

  • Literacy and numeracy skills

  • Presentable appearance

  • Organisational Skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • IT Skills

  • Positive outlook and attitude
