Adecco Northumberland are currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist for our client based in Newcastle.


Our client has established a reputation for quality and service, manufacturing a vast range of machined, fabricated, welded, pressed, painted and laser cut components to customer's specification.


Due to a rapidly expanding order book and customer base, our client is looking to employ a Manual Machinist on a temporary to permanent basis.


Job Summary:



  • Possessing the skills to work in a wide variety of material types including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

  • Manufacture of jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support production and machine shop requirements.

  • General precision machining grinding.

  • You will be required to help with fitting, assembly, and other roles within the business.

  • Work within a team to high standards and tolerances

  • Work to health & safety guidelines.


Experience



  • Conventional Miller / Manual machinist (Turning and CNC experience would be a positive)

  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 or time served.

  • Can understand engineering drawings.

Schedule:



  • 10 hour shift

  • Day shift


The role is Monday to Thursday 39 hours with overtime available on Fridays subject to workload.
