Our client continues to go from strength to strength and is now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to add to their existing team in North Ayrshire.

You will be working within the manufacturing engineering team and providing support to various processes and departments within the business. Your role is to design and develop safe processes (new and existing) which will deliver product to the required quality standards and meet the Business expectations in terms of cost to produce and in quantities delivered.

You will have many responsibilities and duties, some will include:

* Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure

* Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act

* Identify a suitable facility/building with adequate licences and facilities for new or transferred products

* Design plant / process layouts and include any jigs or tooling necessary

* Incorporate all health, safety and environmental standards within the design of manufacturing processes and lead teams to carry out Risk Assessments on manufacturing processes

* Implement safe and lean manufacturing methods

* Carry out reviews on existing products and processes using tools like Process FMEA and statistical analysis to develop improvement programmes

* Provide written operating instructions, route cards, manufacturing quality plans and training for production personnel

* Assist in any Production Readiness Review and handover to production.

* Provide production support to existing processes.

To be considered you must have the following:

* Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering/Chemistry/ Mechanical or general engineering discipline


* Relative & related experience in production environment including assembly type operations

* Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Green belt preferable)

* Risk assessment

* Identify potential problems and co-ordinate their resolution before they become an issue

* Continually seeks to identify new ideas and implement new opportunities, which deliver business benefit

* Build and develop effective relationships and use these to improve performance

* Excellent IT, communication and team working skills
