Market Unit QMP Manager



An exciting position for a Part-time Market Unit QMP Manager has arisen for my client, a large global FMCG organisation based in Waltham-on-the-Wolds, Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop within a highly renowned and unique business.


Job Purpose.


This role oversees the deployment of the QMP programme for the UK Petcare and UK Food Market Units. Through leadership of an internal audit and continuous improvement programme they will ensure a minimum of compliance to the clients Global Quality Standards across all business areas. The owner of the role supports the GMs and Supply Chain Director in demonstrating that the market Unit is meeting its commitments to Mars Inc. on process quality.



Contract duration: 10 months


Hours per week: 22.5 (flexible working)


Pay rate: £25 per hour


Start date: ASAP



Key Responsibilities



  • Establish and maintain an internal audit process and community to support maintaining compliance to our Global Quality Management Process standard

  • Identify best practice processes and opportunities to exceed compliance within a regular cycle of continuous improvement

  • Drive the quality culture across all business practices within the value chain. Engage with associates through the design and deployment of an annual QMP communication and awareness program

  • Partner with functional leads to develop improvement plans necessary to achieve Global Standard. This will involve influencing up to director level on resources, timelines and auditable output

  • Conduct gap assessments to the new QMP standards and facilitate the development of robust actions plans with functional leads to close identified gaps



Education & Professional Qualification


Degree level education or equivalent



Knowledge/Experience



  • Project management

  • Understand, assess and design business processes

  • Comfort dealing with and challenging senior management

  • In-Depth (expert) understanding of industry standards for quality management systems
