We are recruiting for a marketing assistant - Maternity contract


Monday to Friday office hours.

£17000 plus.

Job Purpose

  • To place and co-ordinate all company media advertising.

  • To update and maintain the company website.

  • Take on official social media accounts, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and develop them. Including; content creation, planning and scheduling as well as day to day upkeep.

  • To create, maintain and amend all company literature and all printed material used for marketing promotions, ensuring compliance to corporate brand guidelines which are to be signed off by the Marketing Manager.

  • To act as brand guardian for any non-conformance to corporate brand policy.

Key Accountability's/Duties


  • To liaise with PR agency and distribute press releases to media.

  • Organise the media plan to ensure all adverts are ready to go in trade and consumer publications.

  • To explore and discuss opportunities for placing editorial news stories and advertorials within deadlines within the Marketing Team.

  • Track all adverts placed and ensure they are correct and appear as agreed with the publisher.

  • Social Media- Make sure content is scheduled onto Instagram and Facebook. Twitter to be monitor and actioned accordingly.


  • To maintain and update all content on website and to ensure it's approved by the Marketing Manager.

  • Update and maintain the dealer locator.

  • To ensure any micro-sites or representation of partner's websites adhere to corporate guidelines.

Press Releases & PR

  • To be the main contact for all PR activities and car sponsorship queries for all external agencies and companies and screen any potential opportunities to put forward to the Marketing Manager for discussion.

  • Negotiate valuable contra deals with media partners.

  • Set up product placement opportunities within media and at relevant events.


  • To undertake responsibility for creating and maintaining all literature, including brochures, information leaflets, dealer manuals, sales promotions and other such product positioning documents.

  • To ensure all literature complies with corporate brand policy.

  • To ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained and gain quotes for reproduction where necessary.

  • To ensure all artwork and reprints are to be approved by the Marketing Manager.

  • To present new ideas for developing new literature as appropriate.

  • Support dealers with their promotions i.e. proof any adverts and produce literature for any specific requirements.


  • To develop and maintain contact with all internal and external contacts.

  • To regularly update knowledge on industry and company issues as necessary.

  • Search for and screen new suppliers and potential marketing agencies.

  • Attend events to provide marketing support when necessary.

  • Any other duties as required.

  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in line with all Company policies and procedures and requirements.
