Position: Marketing Assistant


Department: Marketing


Responsible to: Marketing Manager


Salary: £19,000 - £21,000


Date: March 2019


Monday- Friday 8.30 am - 5 pm (with one hour lunch)



Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to take on a broad range of marketing activities. Duties involve Marketing and PR support to the Marketing team as well as responsibility for individual digital and traditional marketing tasks and projects.



MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:


The role will primarily include to work as part of the marketing team to design marketing material for online and print. As well as creating content and campaigns for social media, PPC ads, product videos and email marketing campaigns.



MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Create and schedule online social media posts

  • Use LinkedIn and Twitter to engage with audiences

  • Good experience with Adobe Creative suite particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

  • Create visual assets that engage customers

  • Design and produce digital marketing materials

  • Assist in managing and updating the company website and SEO.

  • Coordinate and monitor E-mail newsletter campaigns.

  • Support the marketing team in planning and running of events and exhibitions.

  • Support the Marketing Manager with new product development research and competitive analysis as well as marketing projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA


Education/Qualifications



  • BA in business and/or marketing


Knowledge/Experience



  • Minimum one year experience in a B2B marketing environment (preferred)

  • Content writing experience.

  • Budgeting, negotiating and business finance.


Skills/Abilities



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of SEO, UX, CMS and social media

  • Competent in using Adobe creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Professionalism, diligence and quality focus

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • Ability to manage your own projects and events

  • Office (Word, Excel, Acrobat, PowerPoint)

DESIRABLE CRITERIA



  • CIM Diploma or Post graduate Diploma

  • Experience Working for a manufacturing business

  • Previous experience in working in a technical products environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar CRM system

  • Working knowledge of video editing software e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro CC

  • 2nd language
