Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible to elevate the brand profile within the higher education sector and to support the successful running of key annual events within this sector.



This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful B2B marketing and communications team to support the company events and client communications. Reporting into the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing Executive will help elevate our brand profile within the higher education sector and to build on existing strong relationships with students, institutions, organisations and the media.

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for supporting the successful running of our key annual events, the Whatuni Student Choice Awards and international and domestic Insights days, and our participation in external events. They will also play a key role in our client communications, working on email and press release send outs and supporting the development of the sector-facing website. This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in marketing and communications, with an interest in events, writing copy, branding and design and who enjoys working with different teams in a business to support key objectives.



Key responsibilities



  • Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager to help successfully deliver the annual Awards ceremony, Insights days and other client-facing events.

  • Working with the sales and marketing & communications teams to support our client email communications.

  • Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager in building partnerships with sector organisations and being a key point of contact.

  • Supporting the development of our sector-facing company website.

  • Working with the team to deliver branding opportunities.



Duties Include



  • Event logistics and administration support.

  • Managing the contact lists in the email marketing CRM.

  • Providing accurate copy for B2B marketing collateral.

  • Working with design on branding pieces.

  • Liaising with external partners and being a key contact.

  • Involvement in all events, from conception to completion.

  • Working with the B2B editor on sector-facing social media strategy.

  • Supporting the internal communications strategy.



Skills:




  • At least one year of experience working in marketing, communications or events.

  • A keen interest in digital marketing.

  • Strong organisational and logistical skills, and a high attention to detail.

  • Adaptable and supportive when situations don't go to plan.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A passion for education and fostering relationships with higher education institutions, partners and students.

  • A collaborative person who enjoys working as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
