Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Hours: 39 hours Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30 Friday 7:30am - 3pm

My client is a well-established and reputable engineering company that specialises in the Design and Manufacture of Ground Support Equipment. They are offering a stable and lucrative career in their business for an experienced Material Controller to join their growing team.

The Material Controller (MC) is responsible for executing the end to end materials handling process, from goods receipt, location and management of BOP, machined parts, raw materials and finished goods in stores, kitting and issuing of materials into production.


  • Process and monitor all inbound requests and queries, following up if necessary.

  • Build and/or maintain strong working relationships internally, and support constant interaction to monitor and improve performance.

  • Suggest new initiatives to add more value to the business, collaborating with other stakeholders as required.

  • Work with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Finance Managers to support business processes.

  • Putting customer at the forefront of every decision to meet and exceed expectations.

  • The safe use of appropriate handling equipment and machinery where required
