Do you have experience of materials & stock? Our public sector client is recruiting for a full time initially temporary with a view to go permanent candidate to join their Procurement & Supplies department.

Hours are 8.00am -16.00pm Monday- Friday & you will be required to assist the departments with replenishing stock to agreed levels and checking & putting away goods on receipt. You will ensure deliveries are received in a good condition & accurately checked & booked in on the system prior to distribution around the site.

  • You will deal with any customer queries & complaints

  • Have excellent communication skills & speak to people at all levels face to face

  • Work with customers/departments to predict and solve problems

  • Supervise in introducing of the ordering system to Departments

  • Monitor flow of service to predict and deal with bottlenecks or shortfalls

  • Undertake weekly stock counts using bar code data capture

  • Unpack, check and put away stocks on receipt

  • Assist with the removal, return or disposal of excess/redundant stock

  • Adhere to lifting and handling procedures

A standard DBS check will be required to be carried out prior to commencing the position.
