Excellent opportunity to join a large manufacturing company based in Barry who are looking for a Material Coordinator to support the 2022 Turnaround. The position would run from 1st November 2021 (or as close to this date as possible) until mid-October 2022. Below are details of the role.



Job Description


Act as a focal point for acquisition and staging of materials for maintenance jobs. Requires a proficiency in following processes and procedures through job-related training and experience to perform a variety of work assignments.


Responsibilities / Duties



  • Enters materials, tools, equipment requests via ERP system (SAP), confirm delivery dates and expedite from suppliers

  • Communicates status updates on orders including any issues such as delayed delivery.

  • Communicates any potential changes in material requirements between supplier and requestor and initiates system updates, as appropriate.

  • Coordinates the disposition of all surplus material.

  • Monitors/tracks materials, tools and equipment orders upon receipt.

  • Work closely with the warehouse to arrange materials, tools and equipment in a manner, that it can be identified and picked up according to job needs.

  • Communicates vendor performance to procurement services. Works closely with Procurement services to resolve requisition and purchase order related queries

  • Works closely with procurement, Inventory Coordinators, planning, scheduling and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP).


Ideal candidate will posses:



  • Experience in administration

  • Strong IT skills and experience.

  • Experience in using an ERP system preferred but not a must

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.

  • Experience in Maintenance, Manufacturing or other related industries preferred but not a must
