Adecco are currently recruiting for a Materials Team Leader to join our client based in Northampton. This is a permanent opportunity paying up to £24k per annum - dependant on experience.

The successful candidate will be working within a fast paced, manufacturing environment where attention to detail and implementation will be crucial.

Role Requirements / Responsibilities:

Oversee the smooth running of Prefoam and comply with relevant quality and safety standards.

Control all activities to the correct standards and make sure all people in your team have been informed about what they should be doing and to what standard they must perform to.

Make sure all people are following all the Health & Safety rules including wearing PPE etc.

Provide strong and clear leadership, always set the standards to which people working for you will follow as people will always look at you and your standards.

Keep all systems, maps and paperwork etc up to date.

Control your labour costs and utilise your team to the maximum, always flag up any labour issues.

Order all raw materials and control all storage locations.

Plan to make all the material grades in EPS that we expand within good time for the production demand.

Produce monthly KPI figures to show the usage, costs, percentages and overall performance for the plant.

Arrange a full stock count of all material at 6.00am and pass on the totals to customer service.

Monitor the daily material use, making sure it's in line with the production plan.

Maintain all material systems to allow the monitoring and achieving of results.
Oversee regrind use and communicate with the tech team on usage.

Report any equipment problems to the relevant people.

Monitor all personnel activities' and make sure procedures are being followed.

Ensure a silo check is carried out weekly and issues reported.

The ideal candidate:
Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
Experience within people management
Computer literate with a good level of excel skills
Excellent time keeping skills
Good can do attitude

Working hours:
Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm ** Please note: due to the demands of the role there will be occasional weekend shifts involved and early/late hours involved when big projects are taking place.
