Media and Public Relations Manager



  • Location - Flexible

  • 6-9 Month Fixed Term Contract

  • Salary - £35,000 - £45,300 - per annum


We are working with one of the UK's leading funding programmes. Their dedicated team work hard to invest in, regenerate and protect the UK's heritage to create positive and lasting change for people and communities, now and in the future. Our client distributes funding and Government funding to support our heritage and the environment.


This exciting role will require an experienced Media and Public Relations professional with excellent communication skills in all areas. The ideal individual will have a passion for being creative through their work. You will need to demonstrate previous experience of working in a Media and PR position and have an in depth understanding of the procedures and practices of the Media and PR sector.


The main focus of this role will be to support the Head of Media and PR and the marketing and communications team with heritage projects by promoting the brilliant work they do in collaboration with the Government. You will act as communications lead for the UK Government's funding stream, liaising with important stakeholders and high-profile applicants. You will be responsible for the creation and management of successful multimedia marketing and communications campaigns conveying announcements, news, and new funding initiatives. You will be experienced in researching and creating engaging content for our client's channels and organising media events.


To succeed in this role, you will be experienced in the following areas:



  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPR) or equivalent level of experience

  • Experience and commitment to promoting equality and diversity and implementing this into all areas of work

  • Previous experience in a Media and Public Relations role at a high profile and complex organisation.

  • Experience in working closely with senior stakeholders, demonstrating diplomacy, exercising judgement and political awareness.

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and delivering successful outcomes with high attention to detail.
