Multi Skilled Engineer (Manufacturing Environment)
Permanent, Andover
£33,000 - £38,000 + salary progression scheme and Bonus


Working hours: Monday to Friday on a rotating shifts basis

Our Andover based client are urgently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team. The successful applicant will take responsibility for a range of activities across a manufacturing site and will have extensive knowledge of fault finding, electrical equipment, control processes and compliance.

Job Duties:
-To support all engineering activities within the manufacturing site and including reactive work, general maintenance and improvements.
-Uphold an excellent level of health and safety across the site and assist with any technical issues that could affect site performance or facilities
-Safely operate machines and equipment and analyse data to reduce break downs, failures and stoppages on the production line
-Work across a wide range of electrical and mechanical engineering functions throughout the site and complete planned, preventative and corrective activities as required
-Generate ideas and implement improvements to drive production and increase equipment efficiency
-Interact with engineering technicians to assist in their learning of electrical processes and encourage a multi-skilled working environment
-Take an interest in business performance issues and support on going projects
-Support the reliability and front line managers in the development of new production staff
-Ensure electrical quality and compliance standards are exceeded through good practices to include installation and testing to legal and legislative requirements

Person Specification:
-The successful applicant must have experience of working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
-Experience in design and installation of electrical systems
-A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and prioritising workloads is essential and the successful applicant must be an excellent team player and able to work with staff across all levels
-Electrical qualifications and a knowledge of 17th Edition is preferrable for this role
-Strong communication skills, the ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner and collaborate in team activities is essential
-Strong IT skills are desirable as is an understanding of lean tools and techniques
-The successful applicant must be adaptable in changing environments
