Role Overview

  • To conduct screening interviews and complete safeguarding referrals for vulnerable asylum applicants. 

  • The capture of biometrics (fingerprinting) of all AIU customers prior to the screening interview. To verify and to establish any previous immigration history. 

  • To act as the first point of contact for all customers arriving in the office and deal effectively with the validation and registration of asylum claimants.  

  • Any Ad Hoc duties required by the Chief Immigration Officers.

Relevant Skills

  • Experience leading a team

  • Good IT knowledge ideally word and excel

  • Excellent customer service/admin skills

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment

  • Good with working as part of a team

  • Ability to adhere to strict guidance and policies.

Security Clearance Due to the nature of the work CTC will require security clearance

  • Resided in the UK for the last 3 years 

  • Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status due to the sensitive nature of the work 

  • NI Number  

  • 2 x proof of addresses (all in uk) 

  • 5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month 

  • 3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month
