JOB TITLE: Network & Infrastructure Programme Manager
LOCATION: East London
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 3 months minimum
IR35 STATUS: Inside
PAY RATE: Negotiable depending upon experience



We are looking to recruit quickly, appointing someone who has experience of managing large IT services; who can quickly get up to speed with the challenges of moving the service forward; whilst also ensuring the Business as usual activities continue without disruption.


Duties will include:

1. Managing the Infrastructure and Network Teams
2. Line management responsibility for approximately 60 ICT staff at various locations including remote and home workers.
3. To be a key decision-maker in the identification and selection of technology in line with council policies and procedures, including procurement.
4. Responsibility for ICT budgets which include salaries and purchases in excess of circa £10M pa
5. Managing the Server and Network estate
6. Responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure and Network Strategy is fed into the roadmap
7. To meet regularly with customers' senior management to discuss and review service requirements and performance, ensuring that service standards and performance are agreed, documented and monitored in line with the ICT Strategy and council policies and procedures.
8. To lead liaison with and manage the council's ICT suppliers in line with council policies and procedures and ICT Strategy including procurement decision-making.
9. To manage complex projects that require a high degree of managerial skill allied to a creative and innovative approach on cutting edge technologies, on projects which have far-reaching effects across the council.
10. Ensure all central and distributed computer and telecommunications equipment and software are installed to corporate standards and conform to appropriate health, safety and technical standards.
