Role Overview
- Staffing the Reception counter, acting as the person customers and stakeholders go to when they arrive (this will involve being in the office for 8am a few days a week, and usually one evening a week until 7pm at the latest)
- Contacting DMs, and any other relevant parties, to let them know when applicants have arrived
- Escorting applicants, and any stakeholders, to and from the interview rooms to the waiting area
- Booking in applicants for their asylum interviews, in line with Tasking Priorities, with information taken from a national Tracker
- Sending the appropriate request for interpreter forms to ILSU for each interview
- Producing asylum invitation letters on CID/ATLAS
- Follow Minors Triage SOP and progress cases to decision ready stage in line with SOP. Update CID/Atlas and team spreadsheet to reflect action taken.
- Attending the office to print out asylum invitation letters, PIQs, and any other relevant correspondence.
- Conduct general administrative tasks, deal with correspondence received electronically via team inbox/e-fax and manually with physical post received in office.
Relevant Skills
- Experience leading a team
- Good IT knowledge ideally word and excel
- Excellent customer service/admin skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment
- Good with working as part of a team
- Ability to adhere to strict guidance and policies.
Security Clearance Due to the nature of the work CT will require security clearance
- Resided in the UK for the last 3 years
- Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status due to the sensitive nature of the work
- NI Number
- 2 x proof of addresses (all in uk)
- 5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month
- 3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month
