The role is fixed term to provide cover for existing resource seconded to a project to upgrade a finance system. You will be responsible for fulfilling a role as an Operational Buyer supporting colleagues across the business to order goods and services.

You will work as part of our Procurement Hub, a small professional team providing operational support for procurement activities across the business, managing core aspects of the Procure to Pay (P2P) process as well as offering help and guidance for purchasing queries.

The role requires familiarity with Oracle Financial in particular the i-Proc module and P2P process. You will assist in ensuring that the P2P process operates effectively and efficiently, and will be responsible for: converting requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs), issuing them to suppliers, and contributing to housekeeping routines by ensuring that open requisitions and POs are reviewed and, where appropriate, closed. We are currently working remotely and you need to be comfortable in delivering high quality work flexibly until we return physically to the office.

You will be customer focused and comfortable communicating will staff of all grades across a variety of operational areas. Experience of working in a busy environment is essential as is a thorough understanding of MS Office applications especially Excel and Access.
