Adecco Stevenage are recruiting for the industry leader in serving science, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the company's growth by joining their team in their new facility based in Stevenage. This role to start with will be based between Bishop Stortford and Stevenage site. Therefore being able to commute is essential.

Job Title - Operations Technician

Main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To fill, maintain and monitor Liquid Nitrogen shippers

  • To label, condition and monitor cold packs

  • To maintain and clean Liquid Nitrogen shipper cases

  • Work around hazardous substances and follows all safety guidelines to minimize exposure

  • Assures compliance to good manufacturing practises (GMP) requirements and company quality systems

  • Ensures all job-related paperwork is correct, error-free, and completed in real time as per Standard Operating Procedures

  • To effectively communicate to ensure all project related information is conveyed in a timely and comprehensive manner

  • Perform project/task specific training as required

  • Exhibit appropriate behaviour, language and appearance always, maintain a professional manner when problems/conflicts arise

  • Comply with all company and HR policies and procedures, support and maintain compliance to all regulatory agencies

  • Willing to attend site, out of hours, in the case of emergency or extraordinary work requirement

  • Support the business metrics in ensuring that all Company & Regulatory requirements for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance through supporting the EHS champion

  • This position functions in a repository environment, which may include working with dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, as well as marked changes in temperature

Minimum Requirements:

  • GCSE Level or equivalent

  • Science related degree preferred but not essential

  • IT literate - preferably Microsoft Office

  • Ability to organise own time and ensure all tasks are completed

  • Ability to read and interpret general procedures and governmental regulations

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area and volume

  • Good verbal and written communications

  • Builds good working relationships with others

  • Able to work under pressure and to support others within the team

  • Able to work alone with minimal supervision

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Frequently required to type, sit, stand, walk, lift/carry up to 25kg
