Shift Patterns - Typical example given below, Dependent on equipment shift may change; site operates on 24/7 basis therefore weekend working will be required.

Mornings - 06.00 to 14.00

Afternoons - 14.00 to 22.00

Nights - 22.00 to 06.00 Stand up 22.00 to 02.00

The Role

Starting off you will train in the packing area on £9.13 and there is a potential to move up to Machine Operator.

Knowledge and Skills

The applicant will have the following Essential Skills

  • Good basic understanding of PC software and able to record and report information accurately

  • Good knowledge of working, and ability to work, in a fast-paced, dynamic, changing environment, follow standard work

  • Ability to follow process and product standards and instructions including noting results where required

  • Must be able to liaise with support teams to help problem solve product, process and machine issues. Good attention to detail

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team; we are looking for a confident individual with good communication skills

  • Possess good physical stamina, ability to climb steps and undertake manual handling activities

  • Ability to maintain concentration levels during routine and non-routine activities

  • Ability to work with abrasives and chemicals; good levels of hygiene

  • Able to multitask as required

  • Good time keeping and ability to be flexible and work shifts including weekends where required

  • Perform other related job duties as assigned by supervision

Daily Dutys

  • Attend and contribute to Area Tier 1 (cell brief)

  • running the packing line

  • Ensure the equipment and area safety checks are complete

  • Ensure the machines are set up and ready to run, including material and packing checks and schedules.

  • Activate orders at the start of the shift

  • Machine optimisation on start up

  • First and last quality checks


  • Ensure all area safety rules are being followed

  • Operate / monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.

  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace

  • Complete data capture/recording activities as required

  • Ensure product is meeting the area quality standards and all quality checks are complete

  • Conduct packing operations as required including preparing export orders

  • Cleaning - complete to standard & at agreed times

  • Ensure all orders are complete as standard (MES/Labelling/Pallets to warehouse)
