Conveyancing Paralegal



£24,000-£30,000 -Doe

Paralegal, preferably with conveyancing, required to provide support to a busy team in Cheltenham and to support and work closely with the Fee Earner. You should have fast, accurate typing, strong diary management skills and enjoy liaising with clients. The ability to handle a heavy typing content and manage a busy workload is essential. Working in the Conveyancing Department your tasks will include:

  • Typing long legal documents, correspondence and agreements

  • You will manage the fee earners work and clients during their absence and be responsible for client contact

  • Conduct work on case files on a day to day basis and answer client or other queries in full, liaising with professional bodies

  • Handling telephone calls and Liaising closely with solicitors, Estate agents, buyers

  • Undertake administrative duties including (but not exclusively) attending to and advising clients under supervision, drafting letters, preparing all forms of contracts, leasehold reports and all other documents relating to the Conveyancing transaction Skills

  • Updating and maintaining client records on the internal systems

The successful candidate will be committed, enthusiastic and work effectively under pressure and in a very busy work environment. They will need to be proficient at communicating with people at all levels.

  • Excellent legal secretarial skills essential, and some experience in residential conveyancing preferable

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Pleasant, approachable, patient and polite

  • Excellent written skills.

Salary: £24,000-£30,000 depending on experience plus benefits- 23 days annual leave + 8 Bank holidays, progression and support with professional qualifications. Please note there is no on-site parking as the office is located in the heart of Cheltenham. Monday-Friday (standard hours 8.30am-5.00pm) Full time and Part time hours can be considered.
