An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Parking Project & Parking Policy Consultant to join a public sector organisation in the E14 area.

Successful candidates would have experience in Parking Services and the associated legislation and policy.

Key Duties include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of parking projects and programme streams by co-ordinating project teams, liaising with Project Sponsors and ensuring project aims are aligned to the wider programme vision and strategic direction of the council.

  • Leading and managing across a range of specialist disciplines such as project planning, business case writing and project initiation documents, summarising of complex process and technical designs, financial models and target operating models.

  • The post-holder has the responsibility and authority to challenge project deliveries and stakeholders on outcomes and intervene where necessary, with the support of the Project Sponsor and Programme Manager.

  • To provide detailed advice and deliver on all policy initiatives within Parking & Mobility Services, including policy document control.

  • To review the whole range of parking policies, identifying inconsistencies and gaps and where changes are required, to respond to new legislation or revised corporate plans and to make recommendations to remedy.

  • To identify areas where policy has a detrimental impact on service performance and to make recommendations.

  • To provide expert advice and assistance in all tendering and contract matters as required as well as leading project delivery as directed.

  • To provide expert advice on parking policies, procurement and project management to the Parking Business Development Manager and Head of Parking Services.
