We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Compliance Consultant (at least 5 years' experience) to work within financial services. This position is remote but may require travel into the office in the city, London. Hours flexible - 21 hours per week. 6 months initially. Immediate start. You would put through vetting process which would take a maximum of 2 weeks. Day rate based on experience.



Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:



  • Review earnings for accuracy and completeness

  • Prepares and presents monthly/quarterly trading earnings

  • Prepares monthly commentary explaining key drivers for profit and losses

  • Provides accounting support for complex transactions, new business, and changes to existing business

  • Primary finance contact for trading

  • Provides support to Finance Shared Service teams to resolve complex items

  • Perform SOX controls and other internal controls

  • Leads or participates in projects to support business, IT and finance and accounting related changes


Experience and Skills:



  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting

  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is preferable but not essential

  • Strong SAP knowledge, Strong analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of internal controls

  • Self-starter capable of managing routine and ad hoc workload with strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders from both financial and non-financial backgrounds across different countries



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent

  • At least 5 years' financial services compliance experience

  • Familiarity with:

    • The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000

    • FCA Handbook; specially ICOBS and related requirements applicable to insurance underwriters and distributors

    • Directive (EU) 2016/97 (Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD))
