Position: Office Manager



Location: London Office



Status: 1-year Fixed-term appointment


Hours: Part-time 0.5 (18.25 hours per week)




Main Function of the Position:




  • Experienced in handling a wide rang of administrative duties and exectuvie support related tasks and able to work independetly with little or no supervison.




  • To organise, coordinate and action office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organisation effectiveness and effciency.




  • The Office Manager is responsible for developing office procedures, steamlining adminstration procedures.





Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. To support and develop the project in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.

  2. Responsible for managing office services by ensuring office operations and procedures are organised, correspondences are controlled and that clerical functions are properly actioned

  3. Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that the office is operating smoothly.




  1. Responsible for developing standards and promoting activities that enhance operational procedures




  1. Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems.




  1. Maintain confidentiality of all research undertaken




  1. Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data




  1. Coordinate and liaise with University/external stakeholders preparing and circulating relevant paperwork.




  1. Lead on dedicated projects and events as appropriate.




  1. Undertake compulsory training courses as required




  1. Maintain personal and professional development and participate in appropriate staff development activities.




  1. To carry out other duties within the scope of the role as requested by the Line Manager.




  1. Support administrative research duties as required.




  1. To comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, COSHH and other relevant




  1. Ensure and maintain integrity and confidentiality of data and associated data protection and patent practices in line with statutory and corporate requirements
