Job title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Mayfair. Hybrid working available.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000
Contract duration: 12 months
Start date: ASAP

In this role you will be supporting the Payroll team in delivering a pro-active, comprehensive and compliant payroll service, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time and their records are maintained to a high standard. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service and administration support to all key internal and external stakeholders.


  • Handle all administrative payroll, including data entry, electronic filing and reporting, as well as payroll administrative duties from start to finish.

  • Ensuring accurate calculations are used for, but not limited to, gross and net pay, overtime, bonus, Tax and NI.

  • Be the dedicated point of contact for allocated UK branches. Liaise directly with Business Managers, stakeholders, and / or employees within the company to promptly resolve payroll related queries regarding the submission of payroll documentation, such as, but not exclusive to, starters, leavers, changes, sickness, overtime and expenses.

  • Ensure that employees' pay is correct.

  • Handle all pension related administrative duties.

  • Support the completion of year end processes and submissions (including ,but not limited to P11D and PSA's), as well as prepare calculations for ad-hoc schemes.

  • Identify opportunities and suggest process and service improvements.

  • Records maintenance as required by law and by the company.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality over employee data ensuring full compliance with Data Protection Act.

  • Support with all other ad-hoc duties as required by management.

What we're looking for

  • Previous working experience within a payroll team. Especially experience completing manual process'.

  • Must work well, both individually and as part of a team.

  • GDPR awareness.

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel - V-Look ups and Pivot Tables.

  • Strong knowledge of Compliance / HMRC legislation.

  • CIPP qualified to at least level 3 is very desirable.

  • Excellent Customer Service and Etiquette skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong Maths, Numeracy and English skills.

  • Well organised with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and produce high quality and accurate work within tight deadlines.

  • Ability to plan and prioritise.
