Payroll Supervisor

Adecco are delighted to be partnering with a company based in Victoria on the recruitment need for a Payroll Supervisor to join their HR team, who will be reporting directly to the Payroll and Administration Manager. The Payroll Supervisor will support the Payroll and Administration Manager, hence will be involved in all aspects of a monthly payroll cycle.

Responsibilities:



  • Looking after the company's end-to-end payroll

  • Leading and mentoring a team of 2 Payroll Administrators

  • Produce monthly reports for general ledger

  • Ensure all EPS and FPS have been reported to HMRC accurately

  • Process & validate various payroll input such as Salary, Overtime, Commissions, Pension, Absences & Leave, Benefits (e.g., Car, Healthcare), Court Orders, Starter checklists/P45s

  • Calculate gross and net pay amounts (e.g., SSP, under/over payments, salary adjustments, holiday commissions)

  • Overseeing payroll payments

  • Coordinating with HR about changes in payroll (e.g., terminations, new hires)

  • Answer employee questions or queries about salaries and payments.

  • Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order

  • Ultimately, you'll ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time

  • Ensure that the payroll runs according to outlined payroll timetables

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post

  • Process monthly HR Imports into the payroll system

  • Ensure all pension deductions and contributions are being processed accurately in the system

  • Submission and processing of year end documents such as P60s

  • Submit payroll reports to the Payroll Manager on a monthly basis for approval



Requirements:



  • Proficient knowledge of ADP payroll system

  • Ideally experience with Workday HR systems (but not essential)

  • Experience in payroll

  • Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll

  • CIPP qualified or working towards will be a plus

  • Able to hit the ground running

  • Able to take charge when required

  • Strong excel skills.

  • Strong Communication skills to interact on a daily basis with multiple departments
