Adecco are currently recruiting for a PENSIONS ACCOUNTING MANAGER for a South London local authority.




£500 PER DAY



  • Line manage two FTEs within the Pensions team and provide coaching, training and performance management which drives high standards of performance and achieves excellent outcomes

  • Lead on the development of standardised accounting and investment procedures ensuring that they are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and best practice

  • Ensure that all pensions systems, procedures, controls and checks are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary

  • Produce detailed budgets and workplans for the Pensions function and for the two boroughs.

  • Maintain risk management registers and produce risk reports for both councils' pension funds and propose improvements and remedies where appropriate

  • Co-ordinate responses to consultations and the assessment of the financial impact of new legislation and pension fund

  • Lead on fund employer financial issues and ensure correct information is disseminated by the Pensions Administration team.

  • Build and maintain relationships with and review performance of a range of external parties including pension fund managers, the London Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV), pension fund actuaries, pension fund advisors, pension fund custodians and treasury management advisors
