People Partner

6 month contract (could extend or go perm ) initial maternity cover

Immediate start - or as soon as possible


The Role:

The People Partner will engage in full people partnering activities with our employee groups throughout Europe.

The People Partner should be experienced in all areas of supporting the employee lifecycle from Organisational Design and Development right through to delivery of scalable processes and systems.

Experience within HR Operations, and comfortable working with manual processes whilst we develop our digital transformation strategy will be essential.

The People Partner will lead in the partnership with line managers in managing conflict and coaching through employee relations matters and it is essential they have extensive ER Case experience.

We have lots of exciting work to do in defining and translating our competency framework and using this as the essence to develop a common language and understanding of what to aspire to.

Engagement, Reward, and the nurturing of our teams through talent management activities are also still being developed.

The role requires someone who is very hands on and willing to get stuck in!

With an innate ability to multitask, the People Partner will be a natural problem solver with the ability to think on their feet and able to confidently deal with stakeholders across all levels of seniority across multiple communications channels.


  • Collaborate locally and regionally with the People & Talent Team

  • Business Partner to Europe

  • Work on key projects to improve people communication and employee relations matters

  • Design and deliver workshops to build a culture of learning

  • Metrics driven and a problem solver - making evidence-based proposals

  • Mentor the P&T Team

  • Oversee the HR Operational matters - extremely accurate and a great problem solver

  • Development of Workday process rollout

  • Build relationships with Europe Site teams, People & Talent, HSE and Finance colleagues

  • Continuously role model the behaviours we uphold as the People & Talent team

  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness, understanding the roles, clients and project needs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Higher level of education in HR

  • CIPD equivalent certification

  • Experience of full generalist HR experience

  • Startup or entrepreneurial company experience preferred

  • Demonstrated success implementing full employee relations services

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strategically minded - ability to link all aspects of HR to business strategy

  • Experience partnering in Spain, Germany, France and other EU countries will be a huge plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills

  • Self-confident, self-motivated and highly-organised with a strong sense of personal accountability

  • Role model to the business and team - non-hierarchal and engaging, empathetic and warm

  • Technology:

    • MS Suite

    • Workday experience

    • Forward thinking and able to automate process improvements

    • Collaboration tools preferred

  • Ability to focus on the details, but also understand the bigger picture

  • Must have operated in a similar role in a dynamic and fast moving, company

  • Self-governed, collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity

  • Team focused and not self-serving. Fun to be around.
