Essential skills and experience

 Substantial experience of working with student related administrative processes preferably within higher education.

 Experience of working in a process driven team environment, demonstrating an ability to be flexible and provide support for colleagues.

 Have a good knowledge of academic and pastoral support procedures and processes and have the ability to demonstrate empathy, listening skills, diplomacy and understanding

 Good communication skills, demonstrating an ability to liaise, communicate and build relationships with a wide range of people in other departments in the University and external bodies.

 Flexible and responsive to customer needs and able to provide information and guidance whilst maintaining confidentiality.

 Excellent organisational skills, and able to prioritise work in a busy environment and meet strict deadlines.

 Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.

 Demonstrate numeracy skills and the ability to identify problems and resolve issues effectively.

 Good computer skills including a proficient working knowledge of MS Office applications and email including spreadsheets and databases.

 Demonstrable commitment to the University's strategy, vision and values.
