Principal Building Control Project Manager / Team Leader - London
Adecco are working wit of the UK's leading Building Control firms who are looking a Principal Building Control Project Manager to join their London based team.
The role is to assist and support the Regional Director responsible for the office by providing efficient and effective management of local resources with regard to Approved Inspector operations in line with the company's aims and objectives and the Building (approved inspector etc.) Regulations 2010 and amendments thereafter.
The role
- To assist with the smooth operation of the offices for which the Regional Director has a responsibility.
- Participate in interviews for new staff as appropriate.
- To give support, supervision, training and guidance to an allocated team.
- To undertake and assist with the appraisal and evaluation of technical staff
- Approve annual leave and expenses for allocated team.
- Assist in analysis of workload within an allocated team.
- Responsibility for the operational control of the customer base of an allocated team.
- To develop business opportunities and market the services offered by the company.
- To be fully conversant with all relevant legislation and ensure that procedures are updated accordingly.
- Maintain a portfolio of projects for a client base.
- Vet all new commissions/plans to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation.
- Carry out or oversee all relevant inspections on site to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients, i.e., architects, builders, etc. on building control matters.
You must have the following;
Full member of RICS or CABE or equivalent and CSCS Card
