The Clinical Laboratory conducts the extraction of drug actives from a wide range of biological matrices (plasma, milk, tissue etc.) prior to quantification utilising LC-MS or U/HPLC. The successful candidate will work in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) audit controlled environment assisting Laboratory Management in the everyday running of the laboratory.



Main Activities/Tasks:


� SME for method development and validation of LC-MS and U/HPLC methods.


� Proficient in techniques involved in the extraction of drug actives from biological matrices.


� Conduct sample processing and analysis using a variety of laboratory techniques including LC-MS, U/HPLC and GC with high levels of accuracy and precision.


� Training, supervision and mentoring of analysts.


� Lead root cause analysis to support lab investigations and deviations.


� Lead method transfers as required.


� Compile and review validation protocols, reports, SOPs ensuring that they comply with relevant guidance and safe working practices.


� Participate in self-inspections to ensure the laboratory is audit ready at all times.


� Assist with laboratory management duties. Deputise for clinical lab manager as required.


� Ensure a clean and safe working environment within the laboratory, following all COSHH and other Health and Safety requirements; liaise with the company Health and Safety teams as required.
