Process Engineer (Biotechnology) Dartford, £35,000

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to join a successful growing global organisation. You will be joining a team that values performance, quality, and innovation.

Role responsibilities:

To be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production and site services equipment whilst driving efficiency's through continuous improvement activities and other Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) / Lean tools.

  • Apply a range of mechanical skills including, installation, condition-based monitoring, fault finding and servicing.

  • To deliver planned maintenance on time

  • To drive capital expenditure projects through to completion

  • Develop and roll out One Point Lessons (OPL's) and Standard Operating Practices (SOP's) to improve equipment usage where required

  • To drive and training Operating teams in Autonomous Maintenance (AM)

  • To use TPM/Lean tools to implement continuous improvement and process change initiatives i.e. Kaizen activity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), 5S and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) etc

  • To be actively involved in the company's Practical Process Improvement (PPI) program

  • To apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to breakdowns and to ensure any identified corrective and preventative actions are completed

  • To liaise and supervise external contractors and service engineers, ensuring safe working procedures are adhered to

  • Performing to measures within specific goals aligned with departmental plans and the company goal tree

  • To comply with all health, safety and environmental rules, policies, procedures, and any other instructions relevant to working within their area of the Company.

Role requirements:

  • Must be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard.

  • City & Guilds/BTEC ONC in Mechanical / Process Engineering.

  • HNC/HND in Operations and Maintenance

  • An HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
