Adecco have an exciting role in today for a Process Engineer to join our local client in Ayrshire on a permanent basis. This role is a day shift position with overtime available.


In the role you will provide the Business Unit with the required technical support to ensure that the requirements of the materials manufacturing processes are fully identified, implemented and maintained; and that the most cost effective methods of process control are developed in line with the latest developments and capacity of the company's manufacturing capabilities.


You will have many responsibilities, some will include:


* Review processes to ensure appropriate design for volume manufacturing of bimetallic strip products


* Identify and implement opportunities for optimisation - focusing on; reduction of cost, set-up time, scrap, down time; increases in yield; and Quality improvement. This will require the generation of project plans and chairing project meetings, depending on the duration and complexity of each project


* Monitor and measure processes for positive or negative trends, indicative of best practice or a failure of process control, and take action as appropriate


* Ensure that current production practices follow existing instructions, informing management when significant deviations occur. This will include the responsibility of reviewing any request/need for change in practices and the implementation of solutions identified


* Ensure that all major process modifications are appropriately validated, assuming responsibility for coordination of required sample manufacture and testing, and timely generation of validation reports for internal and external circulation as required


* Participate in Productivity and Quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that all aspects of process control are represented and maintained


* Provide the process expertise to project teams developing new plant and equipment, and establish process control requirements to ensure that any new plant or equipment is successfully integrated into the existing process control environment


* Control standard operating procedures, ensuring they reflect current practice and are effectively communicated to the work force


* Control critical machine tooling. Maintain records of current machine status, stock levels, re-service and history. Analyse data for trends linked to process change
