Procurement Officer required for well established and highly professional team based just outside of Stockport.
Ideal candidate will have previous bids and tender experience as part of the procurement career to date and be seeking a long term role with very secure organisation with a very positive and forward thinking culture.


This post is permanent,office based with a flexible approach to working hours if required and working within a high value department.
Previous experience essential - circa 2 years or more - at the request of the client.


Key responsibilities:


- managing several high value contracts throughout the year from end to end bid and tender process


- working closely with, and deputising for, the Procurement Manager in a collaborative team


- review current and new tenders in line with budget and cost saving strategy


- manage large stakeholder communication throughout the procurement process


- liaise with suppliers and complete audits as required as well as produce departmental reports using SAP


- manage purchase order process effectively and with focus on compliance


- be happy to lead on key projects when opportunity is presented


- have commercial acumen and a focus on yearly procurement targets


Would be great to have:


- knowledge of SAP - however full training given


- previous experience of stock control and purchasing process - all sectors considered


- experience of working within a framework structure


- CIPS - or planning to undertake
