Adecco Northumberland are delighted to represent our client in their search from a Product and Applications Engineer - a remote position!

As the Product and Applications Engineer, you'll be an integral team member ensuring that we're supporting customers and managing the portfolio effectively to facilitate significant growth.

You'll have an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the power supply market that means you're able to identify opportunities, provide solutions by offering alternative products, guide product line extensions and conduct pricing analysis to facilitate increased profitability.

The role will provide detailed technical and application support to customers for power supply products. Working with key stakeholders this role is responsible for supporting business growth strategies and their performance for specific product portfolios.

You will support the sales team with the creation and successful conversion of key NBOs (New Business Opportunities).

Role Requirements

  • Serve as technical support for all sales channels (direct and distributors)

  • Full responsibility for legislation compliance data and associated documentation

  • Create and maintain product datasheets, safety agency report and files, schematic and PCB layouts, customer modification files, and other technical documentation.

  • Lead the end-of-life and alternate part review and sourcing.

  • Responsibility for the management of the product portfolio

  • Communicate directly with Asian manufacturing partners with regards to customer opportunities, first line failure analysis, new product introductions and other product issues.

  • Technical liaison for global internal stakeholders including - Supply Chain, Production, Marketing and the US Technical team

  • Liaison with the marketing department to help shape the technical marketing strategy.

  • Responsibility for product training delivery to both distributors and internal staff

Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities - CORE

Core Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours for the role:

  • Power supply experience which is essential as to assist your understanding of the market and associated drivers for this role

  • Capability to support customers with Power Supply Application requirements , effectively take the customer requirements to a clear product specification and communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Enjoy working in an agile business environment which have the combination of technical, commercial and product compliance

  • Good project management and communication skills to deliver the project on time, on quality and on cost

  • Strong communication skills

  • The ability to drive the business to exceed profitability & growth goals

  • A team player with the ability to problem solve

  • BS Engineering Field or related engineering qualification (DESIRABLE)

To confirm, this is a remote-working position, with a salary range of £40,000-£50,000 per year!
