Exciting opportunity to join a global leader in innovative instrument processing and central sterilisation products as a PRODUCT MANAGER.


My client is committed to manufacturing and distributing the highest quality products, along with continual dedication to personalised customer services and an extensive product line, allows the Company to service the needs of hospitals, surgical centres and more throughout the UK, Europe, and internationally.


The Role:


Reporting to the VP of Product Management, you'll be driving and developing strategic initiatives to maintain market position, whilst meeting annul sales and product objectives for assigned product segments. You'll also be responsible for managing the strategic product roadmap, product development design, marketing strategy, pricing and product launches to gain maximum benefit from each product. This will involve:


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute effective product marketing plans and programmes, both strategic and tactical, to drive net sales, operating profit and market share of the sterilisation and surgical businesses.

  • Collaborate with sales and procurement to develop timely and accurate forecasts to ensure required fill rates on existing and new products while supporting sector goals to improve return on working capital.

  • Collaborate closely with internal partners (sales, marketing and procurement) to increase revenues and profitability, to ensure successful launch and positioning, and develop pricing models.

  • Constant evaluation of our product mix to reduce product redundancy and drive strategic objectives for the category.

  • Drive brand equity management, product line strategy development, and product management.

  • Identify business growth opportunities and strategic partners on a continual basis including developing and launching new products.

  • Manage the entire product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities.

  • Support and guide the development and execution of tools and training to develop and maintain sales force competency, driving new product sales while providing superior customer service.

  • Be responsible for managing the P&L of the assigned business, selling prices and spending (A&P) to deliver financial goals and objectives for the business.

  • Develop key initiatives and programmes by demonstrating an end user focus, staying close to customers, gaining customer insights, and establishing relationships with industry KOLs.

  • Identify market trends and create competitive strategies for new and existing product portfolios that will deliver a profitable market share.

  • Manage the collection, description, analysis and prioritisation of requests for new product functionality from customers, prospects, partners, sales and market driven forces.


Candidate Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in either marketing, business or another relevant field.

  • MBA preferred.

  • 5 years prior product management experience.

  • Medical or healthcare marketing experience, with knowledge of sterilisation and surgical markets.

  • 2 years medical device experience.

  • Experience of successfully managing the P&L and balance sheet for brand categories.

  • Experience of successfully launching products and product improvement initiatives, including a marketing plan for a major product platform.

  • Working within and successfully collaborating with cross functional teams.
