Title: PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, AFTERMARKET



Reports to: MM AFM / PROD CONTROL LEAD AFM



Area of Expertise: aftermarket aerospace, Material Management



Role Summary/Area of Focus / Job Purpose:



Responsible for delivering our customer requirements in line with value streams expectation for the MRO, Spares (bought-out and internal make) areas of Commercial Aftermarket.


This includes day-to-day planning and delivery for specific programme, short-term supply management, escalation, and monitoring of execution



Primary focus will be on ensuring OTD maximization and arrears reduction across all areas of the business in a context of rapid recovery.



No direct reports, Works within a wider Production Control team.



Key Accountabilities / Position responsibilities:



  • Work with logistics departments (Shipping, packaging, stores, …) to ensure timely deliveries to production lines and customers

  • Work with supply chain team to ensure material availability: effective management of the escalation process for both internal and external supply.

  • Work with operators, product support, quality to ensure quick problem resolution, on time delivery to all Customers, answers to customer queries.

  • Develop production and kitting plans.

  • Inventory control/accuracy.

  • Manage escalation process when a sustained deviation from plan occurs.

  • Internal Customer order book management / point of contact for spares desk queries

  • Resolve issues identified by internal & external customers through problems solving skills

  • Cooperate with SIOP function to improve processes (forecast accuracy, Material Master issues, …)

  • Must be able to construct and implement standard work/work instructions, in line with the management requirements




Other responsibilities



  • Order review Internal Customer's purchase orders and load them manually into SAP.

  • Diligently complete ad-hoc requests from the Collins leadership, other functions (engineering, product support, …)

  • Purchasing from one internal vendor

  • Responsible for contributing and enhancing the CORE journey to achieve the best-in-class status.




Measures of Success:



  • Customer OTD: MRO, Spares

  • Arrears reduction

  • Inventory accuracy.

  • QCPC process adherence

  • Achievement of plans for Sales & EBIT




Requirements:




  • Good influencing skills and ability to cope under pressure.

  • Responsive to change working in an environment of continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrable use of SAP and Excel and the ability to share this knowledge with team members.

  • Mostly in-person / hybrid 90% on site

  • Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of core processes in demand management, production planning & materials management.

  • Working knowledge of Commercial Aerospace Aftermarket

  • Ability to work well both in a team and own initiative.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions
