Due to an internal promotion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Controller to join a market leading manufacturing organisation based at their large Sheffield facility.

In this key role, the Production Controller is responsible for facilitating the after sales processing on all internal and external orders. This involves maintaining lead times and ensuring orders are running to schedule through regular communication with internal departments.

The successful candidate will have key experience in a similar role and will have experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the after sales processing on all internal and external orders for your assigned customer base

  • Consolidating shipments and liaising with the Shipping Department on all export orders

  • Issuing Customers Open Order reports/schedules when required

  • Issuing NOI's & facilitating Third Party Inspectors for all witness activities as and when required

  • Updating customers with accurate and concise information

  • Uploading documents to customer's portals when required

  • Updating & maintaining Sales Orders & Process Groups

  • Utilising MRP system to run master schedules and update data

This role requires a strong communicator who can confidently liaise with both customers and numerous internal departments to ensuring production of orders is running smoothly and to schedule in line with customer requirements. Strong planning and organisational skills are therefore also essential as well as excellent attention to detail skills.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours per week
