Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Lenham, Maidstone

Salary: £24,000 (increasing to £26,000 following successful probation)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am-6pm + 16 Fridays a year

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Operate various machines on the manufacturing production line in a safe, efficient manner to meet production and quality targets.

  • Perform regular product checks that comply with the specifications required.

  • Ensure all required paperwork/data is completed promptly and accurately.

  • Work to achieve the required level of production output, while ensuring that all significant requirements are met.

  • Operate one of the company's many machines, with a view to becoming multi-skilled across the many production processes within the company.

  • Ensure that you work to the high standards of safety, house keeping and efficiency that are needed and will be demonstrated to you, in order to achieve the required standards at all times.

  • Understand and embrace the 'World Class Manufacturing way of working and be required to adopt that culture.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and problem solving activities to achieve operational excellence and customer excellence.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • A keen, enthusiastic learner, self-motivated with a "can do attitude".

  • Reliable, flexible, hardworking and diligent.

  • Good team player and able to communicate clearly and concisely.

  • Have a 'hands on' and proactive approach to their work.

  • Good attention to detail with problem solving and analysis skills.

  • Have the ability to respond to changing business priorities.

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing/continuous production line environment would be an advantage.
