Hours/Shift Patterns - 24/7 - 12 hour shifts - 4 days a week with the opportunity for Overtime

Key Job Responsibilities


  • Attend and contribute to Area T1

  • Ensure the hoist, e-stop and area safety checks are complete

  • Ensure the machines are set up and ready to run, including material and packing checks and schedules.

  • Activate orders at the start of the shift

  • First and last quality checks

  • Inspecting and packing


  • Ensure all area safety rules are being followed (RPE/PPE/Etc)

  • Operate / monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.

  • Packing all items

  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace

  • Complete MES activities as required

  • Ensure product is meeting the area quality standards and all quality checks are complete

  • Run & help the packers to pack

  • Cleaning - complete to standard & at agreed times

  • Ensure all orders are complete as standard (MES/Labelling/Pallets to warehouse)

  • Check restricted jumbos & use as directed


  • Resolve issues as they arise using knowledge and tools and coordinate maintenance engineer if required.

  • Take part in problem solving breakdown events


  • All machines are continuous running, so ALL breaks need to be covered.


  • Complete end of shift activities (cleaning, booking out, etc).


  • Work fully in accordance with all local area and plant safety rules, risk assessments and HazCards including correct PPE / RPE etc. as required when performing duties

  • Communicate proactively with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

  • Lead and participate in improvement or problem-solving teams

  • Communicate the results of assigned tasks through work order and shift hand over reporting.

Knowledge and Skills

The applicant will have the following Essential Skills

  • Good basic understanding of PC software and able to interpret, record and report information accurately

  • Good knowledge of working and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, changing environment, follow standard work in a continuous improvement environment

  • Ability to follow process and product standards and technical instructions to allow for product and process experimentation including noting results where required

  • Must be able to liaise with support teams to help problem solve product, process and machine issues.

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team; we are looking for a confident individual with good communication skills and good attention to detail

  • Possess good physical stamina, ability to climb steps and undertake manual handling activities

  • Ability to maintain concentration levels during routine and non-routine activities

  • Ability to work with chemicals, good levels of hygiene

  • Able to multitask as required

  • Good time keeping and ability to be flexible and work shifts including weekends where required
