£12.24/hour; 2 Shift working pattern (Monday - Friday; 06:00 - 14:00 followed by 14:00 - 22:00, rotating weekly; total 37.5 hours per week)

Our client is a Global Tech Giant, involved in the research and development leading edge optoelectronic devices for the next generation of communications networks and is based within the Innovation Martlesham high-tech cluster of companies. In this role you will be responsible for handling and processing delicate semiconductor material in the form of a wafer, bar, chip or chip-on-chip carrier.

Main Responsibilities

You will be working closely with colleagues as part of a small technology based cells (4-8 people) dedicated to key stages of the production flow within highly controlled cleanroom and laboratory environments. Full training will be provided to candidates to work in this exciting, technical environment at the forefront of innovation.

  • Operating tools to process material through the applicable stage in the manufacturing process according to the standard required in SOP documents, meeting targets for cycle time and quality and ensuring safety guidelines are followed at all times.

  • Operating a variety of different types of Fab / Test Equipment - optical vision systems, manual and automated devices as well as the use of chemicals.

  • Carrying out quality inspections, requiring strong attention to detail

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and safety with a focus on driving improvements to yield

  • Completing documentation to a high standard and collating data on processes as required
