Our client is looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to join their team and manage the day to day running of the shop floor.

The purpose of the role is to assist the management of the Production Department to ensure that the department is run in the most cost effective and efficient manner, agreeing production schedules, liaising other related Management within the business, and ensuring all health, safety and wellbeing procedures are being complied with, etc.

  • Holding Daily Activity Briefings (DAB's) with all employees in the team:

  • Overseeing the production and manufacture process

  • Ensure that planned KPI's of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded

  • Ensure that cost-reducing measures are implemented/upheld in the team

  • Monitor stock to ensure sufficient raw materials are available for production needs and manufactured goods are controlled efficiently to avoid affecting production

  • To monitor progress of all orders received through the manufacturing process to ensure it is ready for the required delivery date, overview and prioritise batching and production of orders in liaison with Production Manager

  • Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures for all production operations in the assigned area

  • Ensure highest quality of goods are manufactured first time, reducing all wastage

The above tasks are the key aspects of the role but, like any other role, it is not possible to specify every single task and requirement of the role and the Production Supervisor is required to carry out any reasonable tasks required of him/her commensurate with the level of the role.
