  • Experienced within a manufacturing environment

  • Previous supervisory experience and able to demonstrate continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques desirable

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety responsibilities

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong PC skills

  • Strong Organisational Skills

  • Work with all departments to reduce waste

  • Identify ways to be more cost effective

  • Report any sub-standard or faulty materials

  • Ensure employees are aware of the quality levels set by the business and that we meet those levels consistently.



The role:



  • Work to ensure people and materials are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet production plans while achieving quality and safety standards.

  • Liaise with other departments ensure frame and material supply to the Upholstery team

  • Maintain records of WIP, calculate weekly WIP value and completed product on the master build list.

  • Ensure the accuracy of time sheets and calculate individual efficiencies.

  • Monitor time and attendance to answer payroll queries and to ensure compliance with attendance management policy and holiday policy.

  • Coordinate production materials including kitting and issuing of materials, advise of minimum stock levels to trigger replenishment, working with the Supply Chain team to determine stock policies and replenishment to upholstery workstations.

  • Ensuring production operatives have all the required information to complete a task, liaising with planning and customer service to clarify details as required.

  • Report and file any non-conformance reports, working with the skilled operatives to identify opportunities for improvement
