An opportuntiy has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to carry out the overall management of production, the site, safety, and budget, including responsibility for production, production planning, product delivery, and operations development.

The positon is a full time, permanent role & in total there are 13 employees on site. The ideal candidate will have worked in a regulated industry

Key duties include:

  • ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Legislation (IRR - regulated by the HSE) and the Environmental Legislation and Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulation 2016, regulated by the EA.,

  • Ensuring that all the associated Safe Systems of Work and Operating Procedures are adhered to,

  • working with the Radiological Protection Advisor: the development and adherence to suitable monitoring regimes and nuclear safety related procedures

  • ensuring staff are trained on the specific risks and all procedures especially those related to nuclear safety issues,

  • general management of all production staff and drivers,

  • quality processes and systems

  • managing and keeping records

  • Managing employees absences

  • Managing the T&A system

  • Managing disciplinary and grievance procedures

  • Recruitment, induction and training of staff

  • Developing the staff and their performance within a safe, supportive and high performing culture

  • Operational responsibility for all Safe Systems of Work and Operating Procedures

  • Day-to-day liaison with the customer as required

  • Resolution of any issues

  • Preparation of customer performance reports for the Director approval

  • Attendance at customer review meetings

  • Purchasing within authorised limits and processes, or seeking purchase order authorisation from the directors, in line with company procedures

  • Checking all purchase invoices against order and GRN and prepare for approval and accounts processing
