Description




To support the delivery of the safeguarding team's services to schools, including traded services and DSL central training. To lead on liaison with the LSCB, SPOA and the safeguarding Unit to ensure that all core work is carried out and tracked effectively. To manage the admin needs of the Safeguarding team.




KEY TASKS




  1. Manage, support and administer specific projects and programmes including:




  • Co-coordinating the delivery of SLES safeguarding traded services to schools, including whole school training, safeguarding practice reviews and DSL training

  • Liaison with schools, LSCB officers and safeguarding team to ensure all LSCB and traded work is carried out and tracked effectively.

  • Providing relevant information to Senior Managers and Heads of Education Improvement in advance of briefings, meetings and OFSTED inspections




  • Manage and maintain the safeguarding alerts and complaints protocol, including keeping accurate records, ensuring timescales are met and appropriate liaison with OFSTED, the LADO and Children's Services SMT.




  1. Assist senior managers in the coordination and collation of reports on school progress in safeguarding as required.




  1. Maintain up to date records to support senior managers with related budget information as required.



4. Manage and maintain the DSL network organisation, through liaison with schools and outside agencies



5. Provide an efficient and responsive customer service to schools, governors, Dioceses, external organisations, the public and staff by dealing with all incoming enquiries promptly and efficiently and maintain confidentiality where appropriate. Maintain and develop good relationships with key contacts both internally and externally through adhering to customer service standards, producing high quality correspondence and ensuring queries are resolved promptly.
