Project Manager: Proof of Value

My highly sought after client are looking for an experienced Project Manager. To work remotely and occasionly there Bedfont Lakes office.

My client are market leaders in the technology space, and provides and integrated and seamless suite of services to enable company sellers to identify, accelerate and close opportunities.

As a project manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, tracking and reporting of multi-technology projects within your team, with a focus on delivery of Proof of Value solutions. Proof of Value is a well-qualified step in the sales process whereby hardware and /or virtual software is deployed into the prospects environment, to test over a period.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning, execution, tracking and reporting of projects within your team.

  • Provides leadership to specific project teams throughout the project life cycle.

  • Setting direction, clarifying issues, providing decision-making assistance to project team members and helping to ensure that project deliverables are on time and meet quality checkpoints.

  • Assist PoV Service Owner with tracking and communicating progress to all stakeholders

  • Manage administration of project.

  • Keep the team focused and on track to meet the project goals and objectives.

  • Leads project planning - uses project scope and objectives and coordinates changes with the PoV Service Owner and team.

  • Lead project team meetings to monitor and track program/project milestones and dependencies with cross functional teams.

  • Escalate issues when necessary and drive issues to closure.

  • Contribute to, communicate and train team members on project delivery standards.

  • Other responsibilities, as assigned, including email management, meeting attendance, etc.

Skills and Attributes for Project Manager:

  • Ideal candidates have a technical background and are experienced in managing technology projects delivering company solutions.

  • Knowledge of project management and agile software/hardware development methodologies, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects and programs.

  • Successful track record applying project management principles, practices, tools and techniques to achieve result.

  • Ability and willingness to travel


  • Flexibility: Performing a wide range of tasks, quickly responding to changes in demands, direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities and assignments. Able to switch rapidly between different projects with multiple competing priorities in a very fast-paced environment

  • Analytic Skills: Knowledge and effective use of source material to resolve questions. Understanding of when to shift from analysis to action. Ability to think critically and apply judgement when executing processes, recognising patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations for action. Ability to identify potential project risks, formulate plans to effectively eliminate or mitigate potential risks

  • Attention to Detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on. Capacity for high productivity with repetitive work

  • Communication: Listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably, and actively seeking feedback non-defensively. Exceptional written and oral communication skills with a focus on rapport, building sustaining relationships, listening, and promoting and focusing on common goals and win-win results

  • Professionalism: Dealing directly and forthrightly with people and problems; persisting to get the job done, and managing personal responses and stress. Ability to lead, motivate, negotiate and influence with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration with a diverse group of business and technical professionals

The ability to anticipate problems and identify alternative solutions. Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity. Strong organisational skills and the demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously and respond to quick turn-around requests.
